With the transmission of our 22 July 2020 letter to Governor Gavin Newsom, the California Green Academy begins our campaign to have the term "sustainable transportation" codified in statute; specifically, within the Streets and Highways Code.  Because so much in state and climate policy depend on this vital, yet presently vague concept, we believe the time has come for the terms’ enactment, and California's leadership in this regard would serve as a model for other jurisdictions, as has been the case with environmental protection.

The campaign news release can be downloaded here.  If you or your organization would like to support CalGreen's "Codifying Sustainable Transportation" campaign, or for further information, please email: cstcampaign[at]calgreenacademy.org.
