Monedero brings decades of transportation and publishing experience, and has served as a Contributing Staff Writer to TransportiCA since November 2016. Active Transportation (“AT”) is the foundation of sustainable transportation, and the issue is finally getting its due in transport planning and public policy. With an editor devoted to this mobility form, TransportiCA hopes to raise AT’s awareness and importance, as greatly as possible. Besides the continuation of the “Bicyclists are Humans” series, TransportiCA will also be looking at new reports and features bringing to light AT’s unparalleled benefit to climate mitigation strategies. Monedero's publishing experience has also included the Sacramento Business Journal and the national education and technology monthly, "Converge Magazine." She is also an American College of Sports Medicine-certified personal trainer–considered one of the most rigorous exams for both fitness and medical professionals in health, nutrition and fitness.
