CalGreen Commends CalNonprofits' Unwavering Service

From continuing the fight to preserve the Johnson Amendment, to protecting crowdfunding integrity, CalNonprofits concludes another year, working hard and nonstop, for California’s social sector.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – With its mission to advance systems thinking and the Triple Bottom Line, and with release of the California Association of Nonprofits’ (“CalNonprofits”) 2018 Annual Report (pictured above), the California Green Academy (“CalGreen”) commends CalNonprofits, for their dedicated, continuous, and powerful work, especially with the turbulent times facing nonprofits. “Whether it is protecting the integrity of nonprofit crowdfunding; continuing the defense of free speech and neutrality, by fighting to preserve the Johnson Amendment; standing for the rights of all peoples to be counted in the 2020 Census, and making sure immigrants are provided the respect and due process they deserve; as well as, their landmark work with GrantAdvisor, centralizing state grant opportunities, and nonprofit insurance services, CalNonprofits continues to fight with vigor for all nonprofits, making sure California remains a Golden State for the social sector, as well,” remarked Greg Justice, CalGreen’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CEO/ED). In addition to their ongoing work of representing 10,000-plus nonprofit organizations, CalNonprofits is also leading the way with the proposed “Schools and Communities First” ballot initiative, ensuring greater financial security, career opportunities, and fair tax parity for residents, nonprofits, and education, throughout the state. “Given the incredible amount of work performed by CalNonprofits, supporting them with a membership is a worthwhile investment, and CalGreen is very proud of our membership, in addition to, the unmatched resources, services, and professional network available, for ours, and every members’ use,” stated Bob Brodie, Board Treasurer.
