The Journal of Transportation and the Triple-Bottom Line ("Transport Journal") is an academic, peer-reviewed publication, dedicated to the research and practice of sustainable transportation.  Submissions focus on an element of such transportation–social responsibility, financial security, and environmental stewardship.

The California Green Academy defines 'sustainable transportation' as: "Resilient mobility whose input (energy) is renewably based, financial operations are secure and continuous, and output (emissions) is negative and / or minimal on the cultural, social and natural systems affected by such mobility."
